IMS Christmas Concert will be December 4

The IMS music department will present its annual Christmas Concert Sunday, December 4, at 2 p.m. in the school’s Celebration Hall.  The concert will feature both choral and instrumental music, large and small ensembles.  All are under the direction of Karenza Yoder; a freewill offering will be taken to support the music program.  All are welcome to attend.

Advance office closed during holiday

Festival of Trees

Celebrate the holiday season in downtown Wellman at the Festival of Trees Saturday, November 26, beginning at 3:15 p.m. There will be music, cider and at 4 p.m. 10 live, decorated Christmas trees will be acutioned.

Santa and wife to visit Wellman Nov. 26

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Goodwin Senior Dining in downtown Wellman from 3:30 to 5 p.m. with goodies. The Advance will be taking photos of children with Santa. See the Bountiful Harvest section for more information.

Community Memorial Service is November 20

Hospice of Washington County will hold its Community Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 20, at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington.

Fun night, health fair is November 18

Family Fun Night and Health Fair will be held Friday, November 18, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Parkside Activities Center in Wellman. A small entrance fee per family includes dinner. and a side dish.

Garden club to meet

The Wellman Garden Club will have a meeting November 18, at the Cherry Blossom Boutique in Kalona.  Bobbie Peiffer will be the speaker.  Coffeetime will follow in the Kalona Bakery.  Those wishing to carpool may meet in the Asbury U. M. Church parking lot in Wellman at 1:30 p.m.
