Louis S. Sprague, 70, of Muscatine, Iowa, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, in Carrington Place, Muscatine.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Muscatine. Burial was in Oakgrove Cemetery. Louis Steven Sprague was born July 16, 1938, in Letts, Iowa, the son of Harlan William and Hazel Marie Blake Sprague. May 26, 1961, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Cox in Muscatine. He later was united in marriage to Rebecca L. Frauenholtz on March 17, 1990, in Nichols, Iowa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Doane Pet Care for more than 30 years.
Mr. Sprague is survived by two sons, Steve Sprague and his wife, Lenore, Wilton, Iowa; and Kevin Sprague and his wife, Teresa, Muscatine; two step-sons, Scott Westerhoff and his wife, Angie; Riverside, Iowa; and Mark Westerhoff, Iowa City, Iowa; one step-daughter, Teri Hardy and her husband, Scott, Lone Tree, Iowa; one sister, Patsy Courtney, Muscatine; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; three brothers, Jack, Paul, and Thomas; and two sisters, Joyce and Norma.
