Elizabeth K. Yoder

Elizabeth K., Yoder of Wellman, formerly or Joetown, died Saturday, February 21, 1009 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa city, following a brief illness.
Funeral services are Friday, February 27, at 10:30 a.m. in the Kalona United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Joetown. Visitation at Peterseim Funeral Home is 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 26. a memorial fund to benefit Pleasant Hill Cemetery was established. Condolences may be sent to www.peterseimfuneralhome.com
Born March 26, 1919, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Henry and Fannie (Miller) Kauffman and married Wayne Yoder February 18, 1940. He died in 2004.
Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker and a member of the Kalona United Methodist Church and the Johnson County Farm Bureau.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Jim and Rose Yoder of Baxter, texas, Jerome and Linda Yoder of Stevensville, Montana and Hal and Susan Yoder of Wellman; three grandsons and their spouses, Todd and Karen Yoder, Claksville, Maryland, Trent and Tammy Yoder, Kalona and Adam and Gayle Cole, Wellman; one grandaughter and her husband, Tia Yoder and Dan Iwerks of Eagan, Minnesota; seven great-grandchildren, Garrett and Pauline Iwerks, Charlotte and Susan Yoder, Samuel and Henry Yoder and Alexandria Cole; two sisters-in-law, Claretta Yoder, Wellman and Marlene (Marion) Leichty, Wayland, and one brother-in-law, Rollin Gingerich, Kalona.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Yoder was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jay Stuart Yoder, one grandson , Robert Wayne Yoder and several siblings.
Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona, was in charge of arrangements.
