Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 3, 2009, in Unity Baptist Church, Leakesville, with Pastor Tony Williams officiating.
Joyce Evelyn Cooley was born May 17, 1948, in Leakesville. She attended Unity Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Blauvelt is survived by her husband, James Blauvelt, Leakesville; sons Andrew James Blauvelt, Wellman, Iowa; Rev. Jeremy David Blauvelt, Pass Christian, Mississippi; and Robert Daniel Blauvelt, New York, New York; daughters Suzannah Williams, Keota, Iowa; Sarah Stalder, Rogers, Arizona; and Christena Harper, Coasta Mesa, California; brothers James G. Cooley, Lucedale, Mississippi; Leighton Cooley, Leakesville; and Hubert Cooley, Leakesville; sisters Ave Jewel Walker, Citronelle, Alabama; and Vernette Colberg, Lucedale; and nine grandchildren.
