Grace Marie Wagamon
August 18, 1914 - June 25, 2009
Grace Marie Wagamon, 94, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of South English, Iowa, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital following declining health.
Graveside services were Sunday, Jun 28, 2009, in the South English Cemetery with Pastor James Cluney officiating. A memorial in the name of Grace M. Wagamon has been established for the South English Fire Department. The Beatty Funeral Home in Washington was in charge of arrangements.
Grace Marie Roberts was born August 18, 1914, in Germanville, Iowa, the daughter of Clark and Eva S. (Egli) Roberts. She was united in marriage to Doyle Wayne Wagamon. She was a member of the South English Union Church, United Ladies Society, and was a Church Board Member. She was a housewife and also worked as an assistant manager for Roberts Grocery Store in South English. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing.
Mrs. Wagamon is survived by her son, Gary Robert Wagamon, and his wife, Dixie, Hedrick, Iowa; her daughter, Peggy Lee LeFever, and husband, Fred, Washington; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Wagamon, in 1991; four brothers, Everett Roberts, Renals Roberts, Paul Roberts, and LaRue Roberts; two sisters, Vida Grove and Irene Cheney Moore; and a grandson, Monty R. Wagamon.
