Ollie Hershberger

Ollie Hershberger, 92, a resident of Pleasantview Home, Kalona, Iowa, died there Thursday, June 25, 2009, following a lingering illness.
A celebration of life service was held Monday, June 29, 2009, in Kalona Mennonite Church with Pastor Scott Swartzendruber, Pastor Mick Murray, and Chaplain David L. Yoder officiating. Burial was in Sharon Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.peterseimfuneralhome.com.
Ollie Brenneman was born February 1, 1917, in Wellman, Iowa, the daughter of Erlis and Martha Marner Brenneman. She was united in marriage to Clyde Hershberger September 18, 1938. She was a homemaker and a member of Kalona Mennonite Church.
Mrs. Hershberger is survived by six children and their spouses, Cecil Hershberger, Muscatine, Iowa; Elaine Cole, Kalona; Bea Knepp, Kalona; Herbert and Deny Hershberger, Wooster, Ohio; Larry and Marilyn Hershberger, Wayland, Iowa; and Linda and Sunny Cole, Carthage, Illinois; 25 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and their spouses, Dayle and Leah Brenneman, Upland, California; and Merle and Marcia Brenneman, Janesville, Wisconsin; and five sisters, Wilma Yoder, Wellman; Iona Swartzendruber, Kalona; Leta Mae Schneider, Kalona; Arlene and John Snyder, Kalona; and Lucine and Ted Morrison, West Branch, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Hershberger, April 24, 2007; grandchildren Robert Haley, Diane Knepp, Eddie Knepp, Tonya Hershberger, and Robert Cole Jr.; and three sons-in-law, Robert Haley, Robert Cole Sr., and Ed Knepp.
