Wellman woman killed in two-vehicle crash

A 34-year-old local woman died Tuesday morning as the result of a two-vehicle collision.

Jennifer Lynn Hussman, 34, of Wellman, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was the driver of a vehicle headed eastbound on 500th St. Southwest that was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Cameron Lynn Davis, 38, of Wellman. According to the Iowa State Patrol report, Davis’ vehicle cleared the crest of a hill and hit Hussman’s vehicle head-on in the eastbound lane.

The accident, which occurred at 7:35 a.m.,  took place one-half mile east of  Johnson Iowa Rd.

Davis was transported by Wellman Ambulance to University Hospitals. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

Both drivers employed seat belts.
