Doyle Rex Gibson

Doyle Rex Gibson, 81, of Arizona, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in the Friendship Village Hospice Center in Tempe, Arizona.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 30, 2009, in the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona, Iowa. burial was in the Sharon Hill Cemetery. Messages may be sent to the family at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
Doyle Rex Gibson was born May 15, 1928, in Galt, Missouri, the son of Robert and Pebble (Sharp) Gibson. He served in the Army during the Korean War. April 13, 1958, he was united in marriage to Patricia J. Gingerich in Half Rock, Missouri. They lived in Missouri until moving to Arizona in 1964. Mr. Gibson worked at Capitol Foundry, retiring in 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Gibson, Mesa, Arizona; a daughter, Nancy Fink and husband George, Ohio; two sons, Robbie Gibson, Mesa; and Randy Gibson, Mesa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
