Lyle D. McArtor, 84, a resident of Parkview Manor, Wellman, Iowa, died there Saturday, August 15, 2009.

Lyle D. McArtor was born June 5, 1925, in Wellman, the son of Leroy D. and Cora L. King McArtor. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 in Goosebay, Labrador, Greenland.
He is survived by two sisters, Freida Griffin, Broomfield, Colorado; and Norma Schlabaugh, Broomfield; and one brother, Orla McArtor, Wellman.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Eyestone; and two brothers, Donald McArtor and Leroy McArtor.
