Mid-Prairie boys third, girls sixth at Williamsburg

The Mid-Prairie boys’ cross country team placed third in the Williamsburg cross country meet Tuesday, September 2. The girls’ team placed sixth.
Justin Hochstetler led the Golden Hawks in sixth place in 19:02. Tyler Asbe was ninth in 19:22.

In the boys’ JV race, Nate Stone had a second place finish in 21:40. Cody Miller was sixth in 22:43.
M-P boys’ junior varsity individual results: Nate Stone 2nd, 21:40; Cody Miller 6th, 22:43; Alex Thurman 16th, 24:07; Matthew Miksch 53rd 33:42.
In the varsity girls’ race, Sofia Chmaruk won the race in 17:07, 41 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

Sarah Schwartz led the way for the Golden Hawks in the girls’ junior varsity race, finishing in 31st place in 26:25.

For the junior high team, the boys placed first with 19 points and the girls placed second with 50 points.
