IMS over L-M

IMS used a balanced attack to gain a conference victory over Louisa-Muscatine in Hillcrest Union on Friday. IMS outscored the Falcons 24-13 in the first quarter and led 45-29 at intermission. A 16-3 run to start the second half gave IMS a 61-32 lead with five to play in the third period.
Four players scored in double figures for IMS. Jesse Ney had 16 points, Danny Hershberger had 15, Aaron Erb 12, and Ethan Gingerich tallied 10 points. Truman Shetler was right behind with eight points and also snared four steals. David Yoder scored four points, and Josh Snyder and Jacob Yoder each added a trey. Sean Prihoda chipped in with two points to round out the scoring. Hershberger had a team-high eight rebounds, and Erb passed for four assists.
IMS shot an even 50 percent from the field, including 40 percent from behind the arc, and 83 percent from the free throw line.
With the win, IMS goes to 10-0 on the season.
