IMS vs. Louisa-Muscatine

Turnovers and a poor second quarter by IMS gave the Falcons from Louisa-Muscatine an edge over IMS Friday, January 16. IMS was able to keep the score within three points, at 8-11, until the last two minutes of the first quarter when the Falcons went on a seven-point scoring drive to pull away 10-18 at the end of one.
Full-court pressure by the Falcons caused problems for IMS in the second quarter, forcing them to commit numerous turnovers. IMS was held scoreless for the first seven minutes of the quarter, until Allison Bontrager finally hit a bucket. The Falcons pulled away with a 12-28 halftime lead.
The second half saw IMS put up 18 points to L-M’s 21. Haley Slaubaugh drained her second three-pointer of the game to give her a total of six points for the game. She also had three rebounds and three assists. Kelsey Schrock added six points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Allison Bontrager had six points and seven rebounds, Carly Unruh added four points and five rebounds, Elizabeth Miller had four points and three steals, while Samantha Beachy and Anna Spencer each added two points.
