Jesse Ney scored 17 points on 8-14 from the floor, and had eight assists and seven rebounds. Aaron Erb scored 10 points, including two treys, and passed for six assists. Truman Shetler had seven points to go with seven assists, and Ethan Gingerich had seven assists and five points, as IMS moved the wall well all night against the Lions.
IMS received strong efforts off the bench as well. Brant Kapple grabbed five rebounds and went 2-2 from the floor. Jacob Yoder had two steals, was 2-2 from the floor and 3-3 from the line for seven points. Jackson Brokaw came with yet another strong floor game, and finished with three points.
Coach Dwight Gingerich said, “It’s always good to get the first one under your belt. We moved the ball well and were able to get good looks. Our inside guys kicked it out, and our perimeter people were looking inside. We get a chance to move on and that’s what everybody is playing to do right now.”
IMS goes to 21-1 on the season.
