IMS Soccer
IMS 4, Highland 0
On a blustery chilly night Thursday, April 8, the IMS soccer team went on the road to play Highland. Just minutes into the game IMS was able to create offensive pressure but struggled to put the ball into the net. This changed as Truman Shetler fired a shot which the goalie could not handle cleanly. The ball ricocheted to Dillon Bender who calmly redirected the ball into the net.
The rest of the half saw numerous shots saved by the Highland goalie, or saw the ball sailing high over the crossbar and through the football goalposts. With seven minutes left in the half IMS was awarded a direct kick near midfield. John Nicholson sent a ball knuckling towards the goal and watched as it curved by the goalie for the 2-0 half time lead.
The second half saw more of the same as IMS created many chances but found it difficult to tally the score. Brian Miller took the ball, beat several defenders and rocketed a shot into the far corner. The back line of John Nicholson, Marshall Schrock, Kyle Miller and Chris Perez had a strong game limiting Highland to four shots. In addition, goalie Ben Brenneman did a nice job helping to defend against some of Highlands dangerous long throws into the box.

IMS 7, Highland 0
In JV action IMS defeated Highland 7-0. Justin Boller and Chris Perez each notched two goals and an assist. Matt Libby tallied a goal and an assist, Peyton Thompson and Nicholas Yoder each added a goal, while Nathan Peters had two assists and Chance Miller had one.
