Huskies Drop Road Game

After having their game on Tuesday at Mediapolis postponed due to bad weather, the Highland Huskies boy’s basketball traveled to Winfield-Mt. Union on Friday December 12th for their first road game of the season.
It would not be a good road trip for the Huskies however, as they fell to the Wolves 44-39.
The Huskies (2-1) got off to a bitterly cold start, as they managed to only score four points in the opening quarter, and trailed 11-4 after a quarter of play.
“We came out very flat offensively and let Winfield’s zone defense dictate the game,” Highland head coach Matt Haas said. “Instead of taking the action to them, we were content to settle for outside shots, which were not falling for us.”
