Highland girls over IMS
The Highland Huskies girls’ basketball team defeated IMS at IMS Friday, January 9, 61-49.
Anna Sweeting went on a scoring tear, nailing 13 of 18 shots and hitting seven of 11 free throws for 33 points. She also led the team in rebounding with 23.
Kayla Schneider scored 16 oints for the Huskies including two three-point baskets. Mollie Kleopfer scored six points and had a team-high nine assists.
Highland head coach Jody Fink said, “Our legs are dead and we have one game left in or seve-game s in nine days. Sunday will be a blessing for our girls.
“We had good teamwork from all players but defensively you could tell how tired we were. We need to concentrate mentally more and focus. Our free throws were better, and we rebounded much better in the second half.
