Highland girls at Mid-Prairie meet

The Highland girls’ track and field team placed third in the Mid-Prairie track meet April 21 at Wellman.
In the field events, Anna Sweeting finished in fifth place in the discus with a throw of 83′ 1″. Katie Seaton had a throw of 52′ 5″.
Lexy Rozmus placed second in the shot put with a throw of 32′ 10″. Sweeting had a throw of 29′ 2.25″ in the shot put for third place.
Mekenzie Bean-Scarff placed sixth in the long jump with a jump of 13′ 3.5″. Heather had a jump of 13′ 1″.
In the relay events, Brittany Gerot (:29.12), Kayla Schneider (:27.43), Brittany Stewart (:27.43), and Mollie Kleopfer placed first in the 4 x 200 with a time of 1:50.49.
The team of Kleopfer (:13.74), Rozmus (:13.61), Gerot (:28.43), and Stewart (1:05.46) was first in 2:01.18.
Cole (:29.92), Renee Megchelsen (:28.98), Cheyenne Flory (1:11.90), and Alison Sojka (2:47.94) finished in second place with a time of 4:58.74.
Schneider, (1:08.82), Flory (1:09.60), Sojka (1:08.11), and Kleopfer (1:07.34) placed second in 4:33.87.
Highland had a third place finish in the 4 x 100 with Cole (:14.77), Sweeting (:14.16), Megchelsen (:14.07), and Rozmus (:13.26), finishing in :56.26.
In the 100 meter dash, Stewart finished in :13.99 for fourth place. Gerot finished in :14.32.
Molly Bohannon finished the 100 meter hurdles in :21.65. She placed fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:28.18.
In the 200 meter dash, Kleopfer finished first in :28.11. Schneider placed fourth in :28.92.
In the 800 meter run, Flory placed second in 2:44.35. Tiffany Cole finished the race in 3:10.85.
In the 1500 meter run, Cole placed fourth with a time of 6:33.47.
