Highland girls fall to Pekin
The Highland Huskies lost to Pekin on the road Friday, January 29, 60-49. The Huskies got off to a very slow start and couldn’t catch up.
We had no fire or intensity in the first half, and it showed. You can’t play good teams and expect to win the game by walking on the floor.
Highland coach Jody Fink said, “(Pekin) shot over 70 percent from the field in the first half. The shot 50 percent from the three-point line for the game. They made more free throws that we attempted. Plain and simple, the just outplayed us tonight.
